Here is an artist full of verve and humour. An heir to Ovid in his passion for metamorphosis, he envisages each creature or person he portrays as susceptible to change. His world of hybridization and multiplication is at first bewildering, but patient attentiveness to the shapes and postures of his sculpted figures will show that no violence is intended. These busy works have an underlying core of peacefulness and their irrational antics enact an engaging and thoughtful pantomime. Roger Cardinal Author of Outsider Art
